WHO WE ARE

About Us

Together, We Are Delivering Better Service!

The Northern Virginia Private Waste Haulers Alliance (NVPWHA) serves as a unified voice for private waste haulers in the region. We aim to support and protect the interests of our members through strong advocacy, strategic collaboration, and education. Our members include residential, commercial, and industrial waste and recycling haulers committed to excellence, accountability, and responsible environmental stewardship.

OUR MISSION

Collaborate with team members

Unify – Private haulers play a crucial role in waste management, and their collective voice can significantly influence legislative outcomes. By unifying their efforts, these haulers can strategically position themselves to effectively challenge harmful regulations that may arise, particularly those that could impact their operations or the environment they serve.

One pressing issue to address is the Fairfax County USD Plan, which calls for specific regulatory changes that may not align with the interests of private waste haulers. By organizing and presenting a unified stance, private haulers can ensure their concerns are heard in the legislative process. This includes advocating for policies that support sustainable waste management practices, equitable competition, and fair regulations that do not unfairly burden private haulers.

Advocate our members’ economic and operational interests through advocacy and coordinated action.

Advance meaningful dialogue with policymakers, customers, and the broader public on the essential role of private haulers.
